Make plans to join us for our Saturday Protests at the corner of Federal Highway and Atlantic Boulevard. There is parking behind the bank adjacent to the Blockbuster lot. What’s making you mad about what the Florida legislature or US Congress did? Put it on your sign and come at 9:00am Saturday mornings. Or we will have poster board and markers for you to make a sign when you get there. We want voters to know that Democrats are alive and well and speaking up!
Program for November:
November 11 is Veterans’ Day. Loretta Young, Veteran, US Air Force, will be our speaker. Loretta enlisted as an active duty member of the Air Force during the early Viet Nam era. She was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California. She served one tour of active duty, was honorably discharged and moved to Chicago, where she was employed by American Airlines. We will also have a short film, “Called to Serve: A History of America’s Military Women,” distributed by The Women’s Memorial in Washington, DC. The film is a tribute to the 2.5 million women who have served in the military, beginning with the American Revolution.important topic for women.
